0) Positioning — what this page covers (and excludes)

Qing Nang Jing is the rulebook that refines qualified landforms. You’ll see how verses map to Heaven-pattern (天理), Earth-form (地形), and Human-use (人事); where to apply trigram/24-mountain correspondences; and the correct order: prove form (Zang Shu) → apply Green Satchel rules → confirm orientation & water. Excludes décor cures or degree-games that try to rescue bad terrain. Form first.

1) What Qing Nang Jing actually asserts

• Mountain carries, water commands. 山管人丁，水管財 — bones (山/龍) set potential; water paths & mouths (水/水口) decide usable result.
• Pattern submits to evidence. 理從勢，勢必就形 — Heaven-pattern (理) follows terrain force (勢), which follows form (形).
• Orientation follows containment. Choose 向 only after 藏風得水 (wind stored, water collected) is proven.
• Cycles refine distribution, not siting. If the bowl leaks, patterns are noise.

2) Origins & transmission — safe claims

• Attribution: placed in the Yang-gong (楊公) line; layers and commentaries accrete across Song–Ming–Qing.
• Relation: Zang Shu gives storage physics; Qing Nang Jing encodes pattern rules after form passes; Tianyu Jing tightens Southern School windows; Yang Zhai San Yao trims to residential essentials.

3) The grammar — three layers you must keep separate

1. Heaven-pattern (天理): 卦、五行、干支、河圖/洛書、九星 — color/sequence only.
2. Earth-form (地形): 龍/來龍、砂、穴/坐、明堂、水口 — prove storage.
3. Human-use (人事): doors/roads/rooms/flows — align use after form passes.

If the three disagree, Earth-form wins.

4) Core doctrines (de-poetized)

• Dragon first, water later (先看龍，後觀水) — map the incoming spine; then judge inflow/outflow and the mouth.
• Embrace and control (環抱有情，水口有節) — sand should embrace; the mouth must be bound/guarded.
• Generate before receive (先生後受) — prefer incoming water that generates the seat’s phase; ensure outflow does not drain the core.
• Face to gather, not to dazzle (向以收氣，不尚虛華) — choose a facing that quietly collects, not a scenic leak.
• Degree is the last 5% — use 24 Mountains to fine-tune within a proven bowl; never to justify a cliff seat.

5) Using Green Satchel correctly — five-step field sequence

1. Qualify landform (Zang Shu pass/fail): back/left/right shelter, bright hall, controllable water mouth.
2. Plot “qi plumbing”: trace incoming (來水), outgoing (去水), and road flows as micro-water.
3. Select orientation (向) by containment: pick the facing that collects; verify by wind + drainage tests.
4. Refine with pattern: check 24M, Five Phases of seat vs. in/out; align doors/major use with generated vectors.
5. Load test by time: observe one wet + one dry season; the seat must breathe calmly in both.

6) Pattern tools you should actually use

• 24 Mountains (二十四山): micro-vector choice after form; avoid flushing the seat line.
• San-He water logic (三合局水法): keep incoming generating; ensure outgoing does not overcome the seat.
• He Tu / Luo Shu (河圖/洛書): check phase balance so additions don’t amplify a leak.

Form qualifies; street drains too fast. Angle entry to a generated segment; add structure/planting to slow the mouth. Footfall stabilizes.

Center unit flushes to road. Take end unit where micro-water loops; door on generated sub-segment; add lay-by to widen bright hall.

• “24-mountain” rescue missions for bad form.
• Decor over plumbing: symbols where the water mouth is a scalpel.
• One-season reading; winter knives expose you.
• Over-patterning to justify taste.
• Mixing time schools to excuse leaks.
