Month Emptiness (月空), or Yue Kong, is a Year-Branch auxiliary marker placed on the branch directly opposite the natal Year Branch. It can describe interruption, reduced traction or a space that has not yet acquired stable form—but it does not mean that an area of life is permanently missing.
An open space can become avoidance—or a field for reinvention.
The character 空 can mean empty, open, unoccupied or lacking substance. In this annual auxiliary-star method, Month Emptiness is useful for examining where plans may feel provisional, expectations may fail to settle or effort may lack an obvious container.
