The Wealth Star Is Not a Promise of Wealth
Direct Wealth and Indirect Wealth are polarity-dependent relationships derived from the element controlled by the Day Master. They are interpretive functions—not bank balances, trade signals or financial plans.
Wealth is the element the Day Master controls.
Within the Five Phase control cycle, each Day Master has an element classified as Wealth. Yin–Yang polarity then divides that relationship into Direct Wealth (正財) and Indirect Wealth (偏財). The name is traditional shorthand; interpretation still depends on placement, season, roots, structure, interactions and timing.
The presence, absence or prominence of Wealth cannot establish income, assets, debt, business ability or future prosperity. Financial outcomes depend on opportunity, law, skill, behaviour, privilege, risk, markets and many other real conditions.

The Day Master controls the Wealth element in the generating-and-controlling model.
Placement
A Wealth stem or branch means different things depending on pillar and structural role.
Condition
Season, roots and interactions affect whether the function is available, strained or ambiguous.
Direct and Indirect Wealth are paired relationships—not two investment styles.
Direct Wealth
Derived when the Day Master controls an element of opposite polarity. Traditional interpretations often associate it with defined stewardship, recurring responsibility, measurable exchange and bounded control. These are hypotheses, not salary predictions.
Indirect Wealth
Derived when the Day Master controls an element of the same polarity. Traditional interpretations often associate it with wider circulation, flexible opportunity, negotiation and less-bounded deployment. These are hypotheses, not forecasts of windfalls or trading ability.
A Wealth star never interprets itself.

Unsupported conclusions
- Direct Wealth means salary; Indirect Wealth means trading.
- More Wealth stars guarantee more money.
- A missing Wealth star means poverty or poor management.
- Each Day Master has a predetermined industry or monetisation method.
- A direction, sector or auspicious date creates revenue.
Historical relationship labels are not modern facts.
Some traditional readings use Wealth as a spouse indicator in male charts. This reflects historical gender roles and should not be treated as proof of orientation, fidelity, marital outcome, relationship capacity or the worth of a partner. Modern practice should explain the convention and avoid forcing it onto a client’s life.
Derive the role before interpreting the story.
Keep the technical derivation, chart condition and real-world evidence separate enough that each can be challenged.

Can a Wealth Luck Pillar guarantee opportunity?
No. It may activate Wealth-related symbolism in a chart, but outcomes depend on the natal configuration, context, choices and external conditions.
