Monthly Virtue (月德) begins from the birth Month Branch’s Three-Harmony family and produces one Heavenly Stem target. Traditionally associated with mediation and reduced friction, it must be calculated separately from Heavenly Virtue.
Friction may soften when conduct and timing align.
Traditional readings associate Yue De with benevolence, mediation, recovery and the possibility that a difficult process becomes more workable. Its expression may arrive through clearer communication, a reasonable decision-maker, a corrective procedure or an opportunity to repair an error.
The marker does not remove the need for competence, documentation or accountability. It identifies a possible channel through which resolution can occur when the mapped Virtue Stem is present.

Is Monthly Virtue recalculated every month?
The natal marker begins from the birth Month Branch. A matching stem may later arrive through timing, but that is a separate transit application.
Is Monthly Virtue the same as Heavenly Virtue?
No. They are paired conceptually as the Two Virtues, but their target tables are different.
Why are all four targets Yang Stems?
That is the pattern produced by this Three-Harmony-family derivation: Bing, Ren, Jia and Geng.
What if the mapped stem is absent?
The natal marker is absent under this formula. The stem may still arrive temporarily through a Luck Pillar, year, month or day.
Does having both Virtues guarantee protection?
No. Multiple markers can reinforce a theme, but they do not overrule structure, behaviour or real-world conditions.
